Joy and Disappointment

Sadly, Hubby's truck is pretty bad off. The transmission indeed needs to be replaced. Also, we still aren't sure what's going to happen with my car, we are still waiting for the insurance company to call. Yesterday hubby and I were looking at some numbers and we sadly came to a conclusion we were hoping we wouldn't come to. We had to postpone our vacation to Disneyworld. I think this broke my heart more than anything. But you know what? DQ and BB were absolutely fabulous! They cried for a good 15 minutes and that was it! They accepted that yes, we are going to go, just not so soon. Whew!

So here is the good part. Hubby's boss has decided to put him in a company truck! Amen and praise God!! Also, there is a possibility of a replacement car for me as well. I'm not going to go into details as this is a situation still in the works, but God is good all the time. I know that there is a reason for all this, but man it's still tough!

I'm happy to report that my last day of class is tomorrow! Then I'm all on my own to complete my required hours in the hospital. Yay!! No more class!! Yaa hooo!!!!!!!!!!

Last night BB and I were snuggling and talking and he was telling me about his hologram. He has decided that he will name it according to where he lives. Delores for most locations, Juanita for Mexico, and fat lady with a tall hair do for England! What a goofy boy!!!!

Well I must go, Cheese the ferret is attacking Macaroni the ferret. I must go release the fury!!

Blessings through the rain

Well, here at Hworld it's pouring right now. We've had quite a day and it's only 1pm!
This morning on my way to class I hit a deer; well, rather a deer jumped out in front of me and took out my car. I was so upset. There is glass everywhere inside my car, my windshield is bashed in, mirrors gone, dints and dings all over. Then, as this is happening, Todd (hubby) is driving home to get to me and his transmission messed up. We are hoping and praying it's just needing a flush and not a new transmission.

The blessings are that the children were not in the car, I wasn't hurt, and I had a Monday to spare for class. Our insurance company has been wonderful so far. We had a rental car within a couple of hours, and they have called twice to make sure I'm ok and not hurt.

Please be in prayer about the financial aspect of all of this. We have limitied funds as we have been living on a single income and paying for college!

Oh my yuck...

I had to work today, which is a small miracle as it seems everytime I sign up to work (which also is a miracle!) I get called off because the census is low. Since I'm just a little PRN (as needed) tech I'm the first called. Anyway, as I begrudgingly got out of my cozy bed this morning I found myself looking forward to snuggling with babies at work today. NO SUCH LUCK! I got floated!!! I wound up on the 4th floor medical floor. EEEWWWW! I just new my luck of always getting OB assignments was going to end, and today it did.

Don't get me wrong, I want to be a nurse, and a lot goes with being a nurse. Being a tech however is a whole other beast. I am not a tech. They get all the stuff the nurse can't and/or won't do. That includes cleaning up poop. That's right, POOP!!!! I literally had to clean poop up off the floor today!! Want to hear the best part? When I got home, Bear the puppy left me a gift of his own on the garage floor! Apparantly poop was my theme for the day. As stated above......

Oh my Yuck!!!!

The Good Old Days

This morning I had to be up bright and early to go help with high school athlete physicals. We saw about 800 kids come through. Let me tell you what, those days are long over!! Overheard in line:
"My blood pressure was like 110/64, am I going to die?"
"I'm so mad, like my mom won't give me $20 for tonight, what's her problem?"
"Can you believe she wore that here? Like what if the doctor is hot?"
"My blood pressure was like 42/99, that rocks dude! I'm so cool!!"

So, like, do you like, remember those days like? These girls looked like clones of each other, and I think I counted at least 20 "guys" who had to hold their shorts up to keep them from falling off. How do you play ball like that? Just wondering!

Another observation is one girl in particular. Her mother came with her and that was just the worst thing that could ever happen to her! Mom was fussing to get her hair out of her face, where is your form, how long have we been waiting, and on and on and on. I think the girls ears were definitely oozing (see previous posts).

I can tell you one thing, I don't miss high school, but I would kill for that body again!! LOL

Good night to all you old timer's out there, It's 8:30 and getting past my bed time!

Correction

I stand corrected. As per posted earlier....

The hologram in BB's "house" will be saying "Hey baby, what's shakin?" Oooops, my bad, but just as darn funny!!!! LOL

Amy

I'm Baaaaaaack!

Well, tadaaaa, guess what I did..... (pause for dramatic effect) I passed! Lord almighty great and powerful I passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (longer pause for the standing ovation I'm currently receiving:) ). What did I pass you ask? My exit exam. I am going to graduate from nursing school! Not only that, but I'm armed with a 97% chance of passing the NCLEX (boards) (now pause for all the oohhs and aahhs I'm currently receiving)!

OK, so a funny from BB. For anyone who knows BB he is all about architecture, drawing, houses, buildings, ect. Well yesterday there was a special on tv about world famous castles. BB decides he would like a circular floor plan and a reception desk to greet him when he walked in the door. I asked why in the world would you want a reception desk in your home? "Because I want a hologram there to say hey baby, what's happenin?" Oh BB, you truly are the funniest child I've ever met!!

DQ is doing just fine. She is loving focus. Her and another little girl are doing a project on the Egyptians. They've changed their minds about 100 times on what to do, but I'm sure whatever they choose will be fantastic as we are talking about my daughter here (smile).

Hope all is well!

Taking a Break

Hey Ya'll. I know I haven't updated in awhile; I apologize. I am writing now to let anyone know that I will be taking a blog break for awhile. I am swamped with school and I haven't been feeling well. I'm in crunch time and have many deadlines looming ahead so this will have to go the bottom of the list for now. I will be back soon! Thanks to all who read and those I know who have been so supportive. Bye for now!!!

Missing You

This blog is dedicated to BB and DQ. I miss you!!! I miss you so much!!! I can't wait to see you on Friday!!!

OK, for those of you who don't know (which most everyone does because it's one of the few things I talk about constantly), my babies have been gone for over a week. They are on spring break at my mother's and I want them back!! I can handle a few days fine, but this has been far too long!

Not too much else happening in Hworld, just school, school, and more school!

I love you so much BB and DQ,and I'll see you very soon!!!!!!!!

Precious

A newborn's conversation with God....

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking her life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

Thanks Mom!!!
