A Really Tough Day

I have a heavy heart as I write this blog tonight. Today my mom and dad's little baby Tuffy ( their dog, the son they never had) died. It was very sudden and very crushing. We are all just so brokenhearted as this little guy just lit up a room. He was something to see; all 5 pounds of him.
So bloggers and readers, I know it's been some time since I've graced you with my life so I'll do a quick update with some style.
Mom's in town to save the day, as I have been away.
Clinicals are hard, they always are,
and pneumonia has found it's way into my lungs.
I went on a field trip t0 the state mental hospital,
some days I think I may should move there!
DQ and BB are doing fine, hubby is not so fine!
His cast is off, his arm in a splint, possible surgery in the future we may see.
I'll wrap up this depressing little blurb, pray for us won't you PLEASE????

How Ironic

Sorry so long in updating, school has been keeping me busy.
So last Sunday we were leaving a bible study that about 6 couples do and one person locked his keys in his truck. He didn't know the number for OnStar so we just guessed. Bad idea, he dialed and was greeted with "Feeling h***y??" Well naturally he just died!!! To all of you all out there, OnStar is helpful, just watch your dialing!
I have been reminded this week during my bible studies that sometimes I am too quick to blame satan when I'm having a rough time. In Hebrews 12 we are reminded that God will let us go through tough times as discipline not spiritual warfare. I was reminded that being a Christian is a growing and learning process and God will discipline us because he loves us. Please remember this before giving satan credit for God's work; I know I give satan way too much credit!
Please keep my pastor's wife TK in your prayers as she has been diagnosed with breast cancer this week. They have 3 children ( one teen, one tween, and an 8 yr old).
I had my first clinical in pediatrics today. My instructor was amazing-- I actually got to be a "nurse" today!! I think I might like this nursing thing after all!! LOL
For my family and friends in SD, we enjoyed our mini snow storm and are expecting 3 inches tomorrow!! Whooo Hooooo!!!!!!

Daddy and the Dead Guy

I don't really recall the exact conversation but the other day hubby was giving BB one of his many lectures. Hubby, I love you but you can get a little long winded sometimes!! (smile) Anyway, as hubby was getting ready to go into this so called speech BB says "Oh no! Now he's gonna quote a dead guy!" Cracked me up!!!!!! I love you hubby and BB!!!!
So the latest news with DQ is she is being tested for the gifted program! Go DQ! She struggles so in math so this is a great encouragement to her.
As for BB life is grand in the life of a 9 yr old boy. He loves building his legos and playing with his friends. He goes to the county level spelling bee on Feb 1. Those words are so hard!! Last night when I went to retrieve my children from poor Fab's house she informed me that one of her students received 2nd place in their school bee. She couldn't believe some of the words they ask.
Class started back for me this past Monday. What a nightmare this quarter is going to be! When asked why we were given a 4 hr time slot for exams the instructor very sternly informed us that we would probably need that long! UGH!! Any volunteers? Anyone? PLEASE?????

Highway Robbery

Between text books and doctor visits, I am broke!

That's right, I bought my books today. So far I'm up to $300 and I'm not done yet. I guess selling BB and DQ still isn't OK so I guess hubby and I need to rearrange some stuff!!

BB had his 5th doc visit and 4th high fever in 3 weeks last night and today. I'm over it! He needs to get well now. No joke he was completely fine all last week and all weekend, then in the middle of the night last night he woke up with fever and vomiting. Ugh! Poor baby. I'll tell you what, he has become the master at staying home from school!!!

I hope everyone had a blessed holiday, I know I enjoyed my family time. I'm ready to get back to things though!
